We portray a very important time in the history of our young nation and our state. We also represent an individual, although not immortalized by book or song, who was the mainstay of our Country's growth, the individual who left an established home and moved west to settle new lands. He could have been a school master, preacher, blacksmith, doctor, or just plain farmer. Almost everyone had to be; a builder, carpenter, churchgoer, provider, hunter, husband, father, and militiaman. A manyfaceted man who muzzleloader played an important part is his life.
